We Indians celebrate Teachers‘ Day annually on September 5 to mark the birth anniversary of the country’s former President, scholar, philosopher Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.

In India we have two days dedicated to our great Teachers- In India the birthday of the second president Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan (5 September) is celebrated as Teachers’ Day since 1962 and Guru Purnima traditionally observed as a dayxvenerate teachers by Hindus.
